- Usage
1Component cleaning: The newly purchased "HKY-YSB-2A Fully Automatic Multi functional Extraction Instrument" must be cleaned on the surface and inside of the relevant components before use. Parts that need to be cleaned and cleaning methods: tube condenser, extractor (including filter), sample cylinder, flat bottom flask, hollow plug, tail pipe and solvent recovery bottle, etc. Use washing water of appropriate concentration to brush off oil and dust, then rinse with tap water and distilled water, drain and store in
105℃Dry in a constant temperature oven for later use; For distillation heads, straight condensers, and air ducts that are not suitable for disassembly, refer to the operating methods in Articles 7 and 8 of the usage instructions for distillation cleaning (note: do not install rock samples and copper rings during distillation cleaning). Clean the evaporated solvent and purify it through distillation before use.
2Installation of straight condenser: Place the straight condenser in the upper chassis of Figure 1 in the position shown in the figure below

5Preparation of sample filter cartridge: Take a small piece (85 × 85) of filter paper that has been extracted and place it symmetrically above the bottom cover. Use your thumb to lightly press the center hole and pin groove mark on the display. Press one end of the air duct into the bottom cover along the center hole and press the filter paper tightly. At the same time, remove the small piece of filter paper that has been washed down by the air duct in the center hole of the bottom cover, and then evenly press it into the grooved end of the sample cartridge. Attention: If the filter paper breaks during pressing, it must be replaced immediately. To prevent sample leakage during extraction, the excess filter paper around the bottom cover should be torn off along the circular edge direction.

- Slowly add the heat transfer oil into the oil bath heater through the sensor socket using a funnel, and the amount of oil added should be based on the observation of the sensor immersion; (Suitable for oil bath)
(2) Slowly add the sample to be tested into the cylinder, press it into the upper cover along the groove, and hang the filter cartridge.
(3) Add about 400ml of chloroform to a flat bottomed flask and place it in the bottle sleeve of the heater. Then, place the sample cylinder containing the sample on the central air guide nozzle inside the extractor. Connect the extractor to the flat bottomed flask, and connect the column condenser to the extractor. At the same time, pull down the upper air guide tube and connect it to the clutch at the upper end of the column condenser to achieve the extraction, desulfurization, and filtration posture.
(4) Turn on the cooling water circulation system (or tap) and power switch in sequence, set the time controller to 8 or 12 (hours) and the temperature controller to 120 ℃. Wait for the solvent to boil and wet the sample to start refluxing before resetting the timer. When the extraction reaches the preset time, the instrument will automatically stop heating and end the extraction, desulfurization, and filtration work.
8Distillation recovery of solvent: First, reset to zero and restore heating. At the same time, pull down the upper air duct to the bottom, and then rotate it clockwise by about 45 degrees to achieve distillation state. When the solvent in the flask evaporates to about 5-10ml, the corresponding indicator lights turn off. After all the corresponding indicator lights turn off, turn off the distillation switch, power switch, and low-temperature cooling water circulation system (or tap water) in sequence. Rotate the handle of the gas guide tube to the top plate, disconnect the condenser and extractor, and hang it on the hook. Take out the sample cylinder from the extractor and place it in the fume hood. Transfer the extract from the flask to a constant weight weighing bottle, evaporate the solvent, and weigh it. The recovered solvent is used for the next extraction.
4、 Precautions
1To change the original preset time on the time controller, it must be reset to zero.
